Mark Jubenville - Mu
Mark's third entry, titled Mu, comes with this explanation:
using just the greek letter mu to indicate the meta, follows through to the icon
I'm basically not sure I'm sold on using the letter mu for the meta by itself though really.
The icon version does look good though and should be easily recognizable.
Funny story about the 3 little squarish things in the logo. I had originally done something a little bit different with 4 squares in a 2x2 pattern sort of like those ones. After I looked at them a bit though I felt they seemed familiar. Then I realized they looked almost exactly like the Windows logo.
